I started fishing at a young age with my father at the local pond then progressed fishing in the junior match team at a local commercial fishery till I was about 16, then I got interested in cars and women so the fishing went on hold for a few years, then a few years ago I went to see my brother on the river Avon lure fishing and I got the bug once again. I think it was the fact that it is a light way of fishing so from then till now I’ve had another passion for this sport, also I like doing a bit of fly fishing in the summer months.
After 18 months this is where I met Chris Stubbs on a local canal in the middle of winter not catching for weeks. We have been friends since then and have laugh on the way fishing rivers, canals, lakes and a trip to the coast last year.
I’d like to thank Dave at predatortackle.co.uk for giving me this opportunity and sharing some of my fishing experiences with you and hopefully you might learn something along the way.
I have a passion for Angling far from the best (Chris Stubbs keeps jokingly reminding me) but there is nothing better than getting out and having a stroll. My preferred style of fishing is light jigging. I fish the small rivers and canals that are local to me as you just never know what you going to catch. I’d like to fish more of the bigger rivers and the coast. And catching more pike on the fly rod.
