Ryan Dabbs

Fishing for me started when I use to go with my Grandad on the River Lea around Enfield.  I would pester him to take me everytime I visited, my first ever fish was a chublet, It wasn't massive but to a 4year old me it was a monster! The river scene stayed with me until I was about 13 when I witnessed my first carp, a common of just over 13lb. For the next 14 years my fishing was made up primarily of carp fishing with the odd dead bait session in the depths of winter! Ive been fortunate enough to travel in my early to mid 20's with Australia really having me get bitten by the lure bug! To the point that I threw all clothes out to make room for all the lures I had accuried much to my Girlfriends disapproval.

Once back from Australia I started looking into lure fishing, watching as many videos on YouTube I could find, slowly my lure collection started to grow and I began to upgrade my rods and reels being the tackle tart I am.
Just 6 months after being home I had managed to convince my girlfriend to come on a fishing holiday in the Amazon rain forest we spent 10 nights on the river Bank camping with the local tribe and we both managed to catch some incredible fish! With the fish of the trip being the top of my bucket list a 170lb+ Arapaima.  Back in England and now living in Essex with the river Chelmer, Blackwater and Wid have now become my stomping ground, under the watchful eye of Wayne Fletcher I have started to get into my perch fishing.

Being asked to become a member of Predator Tackle is very humbling and look forward to this opportunity and to help others with lure fishing.

Perch Pike or Zander: Has to be pike, I love chucking big lures for pike, but a very close 2nd to the perch. Yet to catch a zander and I have made it my mission to catch one this winter
