Chris Stubbs

I was introduced to fishing when I was young by my grandad. He was an old school match angler. Over the years I fished on and off for carp and course fish, but in 2017 after watching a lure fishing video on YouTube for perch and I was instantly addicted! The addiction has brought me lots of great memories with my two good friends Steven and Jon Burton, who I’d met on a local canal while learning had to jig for perch. (I caught a small perch and they blanked!). The banter began there! The freedom of roaming different waters with a few lures and bits of kit is my perfect way of fishing. Perch is my main target followed by zander then pike. My aim this year is to catch a big wrasse on a lure, I’ve caught plenty on rag worm but to catch one on a lure would be a great moment.

I’m very honoured to be invited to work with PredatorTackle.co.uk on the promotional team. I’m not the worst or the best lure fisherman, I’m just a normal guy who is obsessed with lure fishing.

Most memorable session: Catching the 8lb pike on a 50mm Gunki Whiz after it slipped the hook 3 times!
